I am a First Mom (Birthmother) to a daughter relinquished in 1987 and I have just entered reunion. It was a closed adoption, and we are just getting to know one another. 20 years is a lot of time to fill in.
I am also an adoptive parent to a beautiful little girl from private domestic infant adoption. It is a VERY open adoption, and I am still learning how to navigate through it. Most of the time I just see myself as “Mom”, but do have adoption related issues pop up from time to time. That is why I am here; to try to sort through them.
